The morning after Norn said making Chise his second wife, the doorbell rings and in rolls his neighbor, Lavmier, all casual-like. Norn plays it cool, introducing Chise. Lavmier’s jaw practically hits the floor.
See, Lavmier’s had her eye on Norn for long. She’s been circling him like a buzzard over a barbecue, and now this random girl shows up wearing the title Lavmier wanted for herself? The envy hits her harder than a jalapeño in the eye.
Norn, oblivious to the drama simmering right in front of him, bounces shortly after to do his favorite thing: taking a stroll through the park. He’s been researching about magic, trying to piece together spells and theories, but his thoughts are more tangled than earbuds at the bottom of a backpack. So he ditches the mental gymnastics and heads out to clear his head.
A voice cuts through. It’s Lavmier. She goes straight for the jugular, hiking up her skirt like it’s nobody’s business.
