The Japanese production company Showten has listed the trailer frames for the first episode of the animated adaptation of the adult visual novel developed by Empress , ” SLEEPLESS Nocturne “, which is scheduled for release on August 25, 2023 in Japan .
The original visual novel was released by Empress in June 2022. Due to the fact that it is software and not a doujinshi as such, it is difficult to access the original material. However, something to keep in mind is that it is a sequel to “ SLEEPLESS ~A Midsummer Night’s Dream~ ”, which was just adapted into animation not too long ago by Showten as well.
The synopsis for this first episode writes:
