The mc is newcomer to the Cheat Item Management Bureau’s Victim Recovery Department. On paper, it sounds noble enough. The department exists to find these broken souls, nurse them back to health, erase their traumatic memories, and release them back into the world as if nothing ever happened.

It’s a calling for the compassionate. Or so they say.

On his first assignment, our newcomer navigates to an apartment complex marked “completely deserted” on all official records. The halls are silent. Dust carpets the floors. And yet, behind an unassuming door, he finds them—women who have been toyed with, violated, and broken over and over again by the very cheat items his department is meant to control. Hollow eyes. Ragged breaths. The unmistakable weight of repeated trauma hanging in the air like smoke.

His job is simple: protect them, care for them, heal what can be healed, erase the memories that poison their minds, and release them. Restore their humanity. Give them a second chance.

For weeks, he follows protocol. He tends to wounds, offers comfort, and dutifully logs every step of the recovery process. His senior observes, nods, and eventually speaks the words that change everything: “You can handle the rest by yourself.”

The senior leaves. The door clicks shut. And suddenly, our newcomer stands alone in a room full of victims whose minds will soon be wiped clean. No witnesses. No accountability. No one will remember anything—not even him.
